Council provides a "Basic Agency" for Centrelink. |
Centrelink Agency
Last modified: January 13, 2005 - 12:53 AM
Wollondilly Shire Council is an official Agency for Centrelink.
Council runs a "Basic Agency" function, which means that we do not have computer access to Centrelink's customer records or make decisions about payments.
We do, however, offer a range of convenient services and resources that include:
- Forms Lodgement Service. All Centrelink forms can be lodged at our Customer Services Centre. Forms for continuation of payments lodged before 12 noon are forwarded to Centrelink for processing and for payment the next working day.
- Information and Leaflets. Council carries the full range of Centrelink information leaflets and forms. Our staff are able to assist with initial enquiries about benefits and payment rates.
- Centrelink Hotline.
For complex information or enquiries regarding specific details of your existing benefits, a Centrelink Hotline has been set up in Council's foyer. The Hotline allows quick, easy and free access to Centrelink's Teleservice Centre.
- Free Internet access to Centrelink and Jobsearch Sites. A computer has been set up by Centrelink in Council's Customer Service Centre that provides free dedicated access to Centrelink's own website as well as a range of sites for jobseekers.
- Resume builder and word processor for writing job applications. A very handy resource for those who do not usually have access to a PC for job applications.
For further information please phone Council's Customer Service on 4677 1100.
For further information on Centrelink, please access the Centrelink Web Site.
