An application for Designated Development has been received by Wollondilly Shire Council to use the following land:
Property: 440 Cawdor Road, Cawdor (Lot: 11 DP: 664430)
For the Purpose of: Livestock Intensive Industry (Poultry) Including Eight (8) Sheds, Two (2) Machinery Sheds, Composting and Litter Sheds, Office, Workers Amenity, Bulk Earthworks and Associated Infrastructure
Applicant: Tattersall Lander Pty Ltd
Wollondilly Shire Council is the consent authority unless the application is called up by the Secretary, Department of Planning and Environment in which case the Minister will be the consent authority.
Livestock Intensive Industry (Poultry) Including Eight (8) Sheds, Two (2) Machinery Sheds, Composting and Litter Sheds, Office, Workers Amenity, Bulk Earthworks and Associated Infrastructure
The Development Application is also an application for Nominated Integrated Development, and the following approvals are required:
- Controlled Activity Approval under s91 of the Water Management Act 2000 is required from the NSW Office of Water; and
- Approval for a licence under s43(b) of the Protection of the Environment Operations Act 1997
The Development Application, plans and other documents accompanying the application, including the environmental impact statement may be inspected at Council’s Offices, 62-64 Menangle Street, Picton, during ordinary office hours between 8.00am and 4.00pm Monday to Friday (public holidays excepted) for a period of thirty (30) days commencing 5 April 2017, and at the offices of the Department of Planning and Environment, Level 22, 320 Pitt Street, Sydney during their ordinary office hours.
Any person may make a written submission to Council concerning the Development Application. If a submission is made by way of objection, the grounds of the objection must be specified. Written submissions received may become a public document. Submissions will be received from 5 April 2017 until 4.00pm on 10 May 2017. Unless the proposed development is development about which the Planning Assessment Commission has conducted a review, any person who makes a submission by way of objection and who is dissatisfied with the determination of the consent authority to grant development consent, may appeal to the Land and Environment Court. If the Planning Assessment Commission conducts a review, the Minister’s determination of the application is final and not subject to appeal.
(Under S147 of the EP&A Act, any person making a submission is required to disclose reportable political donations and gifts ($1000 or more) made to any local Councillor or Staff member within 2 years of making of the submission. If the application or gift is made after the submission, a disclosure must be made within 7 days of the donation or gift having been made. Any submission you make is open to public scrutiny. Council is required to release written comments or submissions under the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009 [GIPAA]. The Act imposes obligations on us to place submissions on Council’s website and submissions may be used in Council reports or court proceedings. In this regard, your comments should be restricted to the proposed development.
