For the September 2016 Local Government elections the New South Wales Electoral Commission (NSWEC) has provided Council Non-residential Roll Claim forms to assist claimants with their application for non-residential enrolment:
Form LG.127I: Non-residential Roll Individual Application – “Claim for Inclusion in the Roll of Non-Residential Owners of Rateable Land or the Roll of Occupiers and Ratepaying Lessees”.
Form LG127N: Non-Residential Roll Nominee Application - “Claim for Inclusion in the Roll of Non-Residential Owners of Rateable Land or the Roll of Occupiers and Ratepaying Lessees”.
Generally eligibility to be included on a Council Non-residential Roll (NRR) is based on the fact that an eligible person or groups of people or an entity such as a corporation or trust (Applicants or Nominators) have a relationship with a piece of property/land within a Council’s boundaries (or Wards, if applicable) and that rates are paid on that property/land by the Applicants or Nominees.
An individual or group querying their eligibility to enrol are advised to contact Council on 4677 1100.
The “closing date” to submit an application is COB 4.30pm - 1st August 2016.

The Non-Residential Roll of Occupiers and Rate Paying Lessees is available on request during councils regular business hours as prescribed in the Local Government Act 1993. To view the Roll please call 4677 9507 to arrange a suitable time.
