Road Safety Volunteers Group

The Road Safety Volunteers Group aims to raise awareness of road safety within the community and to work with the Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) to improve road safety in Wollondilly.

The group has been in existence since 1997 and their activities have contributed towards improving road safety on Wollondilly Shire roads especially for young drivers and old alike. There are numerous projects that have been successfully run and some projects are continuing today such as Learner Driver Log Book Run, U-Turn the Wheel, Seniors safety, School zone awareness etc. It consists of appointed volunteers, Councillors, Councils Road Safety Officer and Council staff.

The Road Safety Volunteers Group meets quarterly in line with Council’s Road Safety Action Plan to schedule road safety projects.

The Road Safety Volunteers Group is currently seeking new members through an Expression of Interest (EOI) Process. If you are interested in participating please read the Road Safety Committee Operational Guidelines and Terms of Reference and then complete the Online EOI Committees form

The EOI runs from Monday 23 January – 4pm, Friday 17 February 2017.
