Macquarie Dictionary Online
The Macquarie Dictionary is constantly updated with new words as they enter our language. The online service gives you access to the Macquarie Dictionary Fourth Edition which has the following features:
- over 112,000 headwords
- etymologies for some of the more interesting phrases in English.
- thousands of new words and senses.
- regionalisms from around Australia, many gathered from Australian Word Map, a joint online project of Macquarie and the ABC

History & Reference Library
This database contains major titles adapted for online use and has extensive
searching capability. It is designed for use by schools, parents, seniors – anyone
with an interest in Australian history, as well as ancient and modern history. It is continually expanded
with newer titles. There are currently over 60 different titles, with more added on a continual basis.
Most are richly illustrated and over two hours of video footage is also available.
