Inter-library LoansLast modified: November 6, 2008 - 12:26 AM
Wollondilly Library and Information Service offers an inter-Library loan service to Library members. What is an inter-library loan?If an item is not held in our Library, or is missing from the collection, it may be possible to arrange a loan from another Library. How can I make a request?A form is available from the circulation desk. The fee for this service is $2.50 (GST inclusive). Guidelines for inter library loan requestsRecently published FICTION/current BEST SELLERS:These items are not usually available for inter Library loan. In this case, a "suggestion for purchase" form may be used. Recently published NON-FICTION: Some libraries do not make newly published material available for inter Library loan. We will endeavour to obtain the item(s) for you. MUTIPLE REQUESTS - some considerations:
For these reasons it is suggested that items be ordered one at a time, especially for a series. What type of items can be borrowed?Material that may be requested on inter Library loan includes books, journal articles, talking books, videos (including captioned videos for the hearing impaired), and foreign language items. State LibraryThe State Library of NSW holds a wide range of material in the General Reference Library that is made available for inter Library loan through NSW public libraries. Additional ChargesSome libraries (e.g. university libraries) charge for the supply of an inter Library loan. At present, this charge is $13.20 (GST inclusive). You will be able to indicate on the form if you are willing to pay this additional charge. Contact details | |||||||||||||
