Community Strategic Plan 2030Last modified: August 19, 2008 - 3:25 PM
At it’s meeting on 21 July 2008, Council adopted the Community Strategic Plan 2030 (CSP 2030). The CSP 2030 will assist Wollondilly Shire to realise its and the community’s vision of 'Rural Living' by setting out goals, outcomes and strategies for five main focus areas of community, economy, environment, infrastructure and governance. Council has taken care to include in its development of the CSP 2030, the opinions of the community. We have engaged with the community to gather feedback and to make this the most appropriate and reliable document on issues important in the future of Wollondilly. The community consultation included uploading the CSP 2030 onto Councils interactive website called Bang the Table. Feed back was gathered from this site and an Activity Report is listed below. Council also conducted Kiosks around the Shire inviting the Community to view and ask questions about the CSP 2030 and provide feedback on if we have got it right. Council had the document up on exhibition on our website, at Council, Mobile Library and Wollondilly Library. Council has taken the first steps in implementing the Community Strategic Plan 2030 across all levels of Council and each section of Council has developed a strategic intent that works towards implementing the CSP 2030. The next step is for the Community to follow Council’s lead and use this Plan as a guideline for the future. The future of Wollondilly Shire rests not only in the hands of government or of businesses; we believe every resident of Wollondilly is a partner in the Shires future.
