Sudden cardiac arrest can happen anywhere, at any time. Quick access to an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and trained responders can save a life.
The Heart Safe Wollondilly program is a community-led initiative launched by the Wollondilly Business Chamber and Council, with a team of passionate volunteers from All Essentials, DJL Project Management, Hire a Hubby Property Maintenance and Rapid 1st Aid.
Together, we’re improving access to AEDs and growing the number of trained responders across Wollondilly. Local businesses and community groups are encouraged to register their AED with GoodSAM, and residents can complete CPR training and sign up as an AED GoodSAM responder.
Knowing where AEDs are located can save precious time in an emergency.
Registering your AED ensures it can be located quickly by emergency services and nearby responders during a cardiac emergency.
GoodSAM is a free app that connects trained volunteers to nearby cardiac arrest emergencies before an ambulance arrives. Benefits of the GoodSAM App:
GoodSAM responders do not replace paramedics, they provide critical early assistance until professional help arrives.
You can register if you:
Whether you’re a business, community group or resident, you can help:
Together, we can strengthen our community’s ability to respond when it matters most.
