We are facing significant changes in the Wollondilly, unprecedented growth which brings with it opportunity and challenge. I came to the Wollondilly over 20 years ago as a tourist; I loved what I saw and felt.
That sense of community runs strong here; I joined the RFS and have remained committed to the organisation. I joined a local Rugby club, played a few seasons, met more locals and built a network of friends. That is what we do here in the Wollondilly, we engage.
Over the years I have immersed myself in various community organisations such as the Picton Chamber of Commerce, the Wollondilly Tourism Association, RFS, Economic Development Group and the St Marys Pastoral Council. This involvement has provided with an opportunity to understand our community, see it from different perspectives and engage with many different community members.
As we approach this period of growth the needs of our community must be articulated not only at a Council level but beyond to State and Federal. I will be a member of your team. A voice along with your eight other Councillors whose aim is to balance competing needs, ensure efficient governance and direct our shire towards an exciting future.
