For the past 35 years I have called Wollondilly home, raising my family and building my business here. During this time I have seen the Shire evolve from a sleepy rural community to a somewhat more vibrant community whilst still maintaining its rural lifestyle.
Every day driving to work I still love the rural atmosphere and the natural escarpments and local wildlife and I am reminded of how important it is to keep Wollondilly’s rural lifestyle intact. Yes there will be the inevitable growth, but with this growth I plan on advocating that we keep a balance of rural and semi rural to maintain our current rural living lifestyle.
I will also fight for better roads and improvements in public transport. Roads and Rail that is my mantra, there is a list of roads that will be my focus and when it comes to public transport I will be advocating for improved connections to the city, an increase in the frequency of trains and the replacement of the current unreliable rolling stock.
Every week I try to meet with the community to discuss their needs and what they want in Wollondilly. There have been many discussions around roads, rail, economy and growth and I plan on bringing these discussions to the table with Councillors and Council so that they can be addressed in the future.
