600 West Parade Buxton Planning Proposal

Council is seeking comment on a Planning Proposal to rezone land at 600 West parade, Buxton for residential and environmental management purposes.
Objectives of the Planning Proposal
The Planning Proposal seeks to amend Wollondilly Local Environmental Plan (WLEP) 2011, which is principal legislation that controls development and planning decisions for the Wollondilly Local Government Area.
The proposal is seeking to amend the Land Zoning from RU1 Primary Production to a mix of R5 Large Lot Residential and E3 Environmental Management zones. The current Minimum Lot Size is proposed to be amended from 40 hectares to 4000m2 allowing the potential for four additional lots. A maximum building height of 9m is proposed to be applied to the R5 zoned land. The area identified to have previously held environmentally significant vegetation on the western portion of the site is proposed to be included on the Natural Resources – Biodiversity map to ensure its protection and to allow for natural revegetation.
All relevant information will be on public exhibition from Wednesday 12 December 2018 to Friday 1 February 2019 and can be viewed during the exhibition period at:
• Council’s Customer Service Centre, 62-64 Menangle Street, Picton between the hours of 8:30am – 5:00pm, Monday to Friday (public holidays excluded)
• Wollondilly Council Library, No. 42 Menangle Street, Picton between the hours of 9:30am to 5:00pm Monday to Wednesday and Friday, 9:30am to 6:00pm Thursday and 9:00am to 12:00pm Saturday.
Any person may make a written submission or comment. These will be considered by Council in making a decision about the Planning Proposal and must be received by no later than 5:00pm on 1 February 2019.

The Minister for Planning has issued authorisation for Wollondilly Shire Council to exercise delegation to make this plan.
Any submission you make is open to public scrutiny. Council is required to release written comments or submissions under the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009 (GIPAA). The Act imposes obligations on us to place submissions on Council’s website and submissions may be used in Council reports or court proceedings. In this regard, your comments should be restricted to the proposed development.
