Council is seeking comment on a Planning Proposal to rezone land at No. 95 Great Southern Road, Bargo. The Planning Proposal will be on public exhibition from Thursday, 31 August 2017 to Tuesday, 3 October 2017.

Location of Proposal

The planning proposal affects land known as Lot 1 DP 996286 (No. 95) Great Southern Road, Bargo.

Objective of Planning Proposal

The Planning Proposal seeks to amend Wollondilly Local Environmental Plan (WLEP) 2011, which is principal legislation that controls development and planning decisions for the Wollondilly Local Government Area. This amendment seeks to change the land use zoning of the site from RU2 Rural Landscape to R2 Low Density Residential, R5 Large Lot Residential and E2 Environmental Conservation. The proposal also intends to amend minimum lot sizes, maximum building height and identify biodiversity and natural resource land across the site. The intent of the Planning Proposal is to enable the future subdivision of the land into 150 - 200 lots.
