Draft Planning Proposal - Brooks Point Road, Appin

Council has received a Draft Planning Proposal to rezone land in Brooks Point Road, Appin and is seeking comments from the community on this proposal. The proposal relates to the land at No. 10, 14, 20, 30, 50 and 70 Brooks Point Road, Appin.
The proposal seeks to amend the land use zoning of the site from RU2 Rural Landscape to R2 Low Density Residential, B2 Local Centre, E2 Environmental Conservation, E4 Environmental Living and SP2 Infrastructure. The proposal is capable of delivering 288 residential lots with lot sizes ranging between 250m2 to 7.5 hectares.
The Draft Planning Proposal will be on public exhibition from Wednesday 9 January 2019 to Wednesday 27 February 2019. Information relating to the proposal can be viewed:
- Council’s Customer Service Centre, 62-64 Menangle Street, Picton between the hours of 8:30am – 5:00pm, Monday to Friday;
- Wollondilly Council Library, No. 42 Menangle Street, Picton between the hours of 9:30am to 5:00pm Monday to Wednesday and Friday, 9:30am to 6:00pm Thursday and 9:00am to 12:00pm Saturday.
- Appin Post Office, Shop 4/73 Appin Road, Appin between the hours of 7:00am to 6:00pm Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 1:00pm Saturday and 7:30am to 12:30pm Sunday.
Any person may make a written submission or comment. These will be considered by Council in making a decision about the proposal and must be received by 5:00pm on 27 February 2019.

The Act imposes obligations on use to place submissions on Council’s website and submissions may be used in Council Reports or court proceedings.
