Proposed Naming of Roads - TAHMOOR

Roads Act, 1993 & Roads Regulation 2018, Part 2, Division 1

Notice is hereby given that Wollondilly Shire Council, in pursuance of Clause 7 of the above regulation proposes to name the following road/s:

Proposed Names:      Dillies Lane, Tahmoor

Description:              1 new road within subdivision of Lot 257 DP 10669, 70 River Road, Tahmoor.

Forward written submissions to Wollondilly Shire Council at, PO Box 21, Picton NSW 2571, clearly outlining reasons for such objection. Submissions for the proposal close 5pm Tuesday 30 April 2019.

Aboriginals conducted important ceremonies along the upper parks of Myrtle Creek to find wives, exchange axes and crystals known as “Dillies” worn by healers around their necks in Dillybags. (This subdivision is close to the Creek). Nomination from Picton & District Historical & Family History Society. Name pre-approved by Geographical Names Board - 14 July 2008.
