Proposed Naming of Roads - Tahmoor

Roads Act, 1993 & Roads Regulation 2018, Part 2, Division 1

Notice is hereby given that Wollondilly Shire Council, in pursuance of Clause 7 of the above regulation proposes to name the following road/s:

Proposed Names:       Teale Circuit, Tahmoor

Description:                2 new roads within subdivision of Lot 60 DP 555941, 105 Myrtle Creek Avenue Tahmoor.

                                    (note: Cross Street is being extended to River Road)

Name Origin: 

George Bradbury has a street in Tahmoor named after him. This proposed name Teale recognises George Bradbury’s wife ADA MARY TEALE as part of a road naming them of recognising the names of old owners/keeper of the historic Tahmoor House. (George Bradbury purchased Tahmoor House in 1879 remaining until 1920. He sold the property to adjoining developers when the train line was created when Tahmoor was formally named and the land was beginning to be subdivided.

Forward written submissions to Wollondilly Shire Council at, PO Box 21, Picton NSW 2571, clearly outlining reasons for such objection. Submissions for the proposal close 5pm Thursday 17 October 2019.
