Public Exhibition of Drone (Remotely Piloted Aircraft System) Policy

Wollondilly Shire Council is establishing a Drone Program to improve the efficiency of Council’s core business and services, which include assets, waste and vegetation management, land inspection, events, compliance, planning and law enforcement. This Policy is being designed to protect the interests of the public.

Wollondilly Shire Council is exhibiting the Drone (Remotely Piloted Aircraft System) Policy and welcoming your feedback to improve the Policy before the commencement of the drone flights.

Public Exhibition

The Drone (Remotely Piloted Aircraft System) Policy will be on public exhibition from 9 October to 6 November 2019 and can be viewed during the exhibition period at:

  • Council’s Administration Centre, 62-64 Menangle Street, Picton between the hours 8:30am – 5pm, Monday to Friday; and
  • Wollondilly Library, 42 Menangle Street, Picton Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 9:30am to 5pm, Thursday 9:30am to 6pm and Saturdays 9am to 12 noon; and
  • Mobile Library
  • Wollondilly Shire Council’s website

Written submissions will be accepted from 9 October to 20 November 2019, and must be addressed to Manager Governance Wollondilly Shire Council with reference number CM9199
