Wollondilly Shire Council is one of the fastest growing councils in NSW. With the new Badgery’s Creek airport only 12km’s away and with Wilton New Town set to be the eighth largest town in New South Wales, growth is key to its future. As Director of Planning, you will lead this strategic growth in a career defining role as part of the Executive Team.
Located in a unique and enviable geographical position - only 1.5 hours’ drive from Sydney CBD, 45 minutes’ drive from Liverpool and 45 minutes from Wollongong – the Director of Planning role offers all the benefits of lifestyle living but with all the professional challenges of a rapidly growing peri-urban Council.
Part of the Western Sydney City Deal, the area will see a critical amount of Government investment rolled out for transport, jobs and infrastructure across Western and Southwest Sydney. In this role, you will directly influence and lead Wollondilly Shire Council through this exciting period of change and growth, actively contributing to its planning related initiatives and managing the broad suit of Councils Land Use Planning responsibilities.
As would be expected in such a high-profile leadership position, you will bring with you the ability to inspire your teams, together with a strong commitment to continuous improvement. Key focus areas will include delivering upon the key objectives within Councils Community Strategic Plan, leading the delivery of Wilton New Town, the review and delivery of the forthcoming LEP within a two-year timeframe and additionally contributing significantly to the councils Executive Leadership Team and to the overall management and success of Council.
Wollondilly Shire is set for a period of sustained growth of which the Director of Planning will play a pivotal role. Be part of its success.
An attractive remuneration package commensurate with the location and role is offered.
