The Rural Industry Advisory Committee focuses on the issues affecting farming enterprise within Wollondilly and the Sydney Basin. The Committee provides farmers with the opportunity to discuss local issues directly with Council and to develop initiatives and mechanisms to promote the longevity of agriculture in the Shire.
This committee is represented by local members of the poultry, dairy and beef cattle, agri-tourism, horticulture and market garden farming communities, as well as a representative of the NSW Department of Primary Industries and the Cumberland Livestock Health and Pest Authority.
Advice of upcoming meetings will be distributed to members and Councillors and posted on Council’s webpage at least 10 days prior to the date of the next scheduled meeting. Minutes will be taken by a Council officer and distributed to committee members within 14 days of the meeting date.
