The Road Safety Volunteers Group aims to raise awareness of road safety within the community and to work with the Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) to improve road safety in Wollondilly.
The group has been in existence since 1997 and consists of appointed volunteers, Councillors, Councils Road Safety Officer and Council staff. Their activities have contributed towards improving road safety on Wollondilly Shire roads, for young drivers and old alike. There are numerous projects that have been successfully run and some projects are continuing today. Activities include the Learner Driver Log Book Run, U-Turn the Wheel, Seniors safety and School zone awareness.
The Road Safety Volunteers Group is currently seeking new members. If you wish to become a member of the group, a volunteer application form is available from Council's Road Safety Officer.
Advice of upcoming meetings will be distributed to members and posted on Council’s webpage at least 10 days prior to the date of the next scheduled meeting. Minutes will be taken by a Council officer and distributed to Committee members within 14 days of the meeting date.
