As part of our commitment to engage with our community on key matters and strategic priorities, Council has established a series of “Strategic Reference Groups” and “Advisory Groups”.
There are 5 separate Strategic Reference Groups (SRGs), each focussing on one of the 5 high-level strategic themes of our draft Community Strategic Plan (CSP).
The aim of these SRGs is to help shape future directions across multiple subject domains that align with each SRGs high-order strategic theme.

Council has implemented a portfolio approach as part of its strategic decision-making framework.
The portfolio approach assigns specific, strategic focus areas to each Councillor based on their interest, knowledge and experience.
