Objective and Purpose of the Youth AG:

To consider actions and matters that support Council’s Community Strategic Plan (CSP) goals in relation to Youth matters
To enable Council to engage with its community in relation to Youth matters.

Key focus areas include:

Employment and training opportunities for young people
Providing information and resources for young people
Health, well-being and fitness for young people + more!

Objective and Purpose of the Indigenous Culture and Heritage AG:

To consider actions and matters that support Council’s Community Strategic Plan (CSP) goals in relation Indigenous Culture and Heritage matters
To enable Council to engage with its community in relation to Indigenous Culture and Heritage matters

Key focus areas include:

Advising Council on appropriate consultation and referral processes with the broader Aboriginal community
Promoting mutual awareness and respect for the cultures of both the Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal communities
Advocating to Council the issues and challenges faced by Aboriginal people + more!

Objective and Purpose of the Disability Access and Inclusion AG:

To consider actions and matters that support Council’s Community Strategic Plan (CSP) goals in relation to Disability Access and Inclusion
To enable Council to engage with its community in relation to Disability Access and Inclusion

Key focus areas include:

The implementation, review and evaluation of the Disability Inclusion Access Plan 2022 – 2026
Advocate on behalf of people with a disability, their families and carers who live, work and visit the Wollondilly region.
Ensure Council is supporting people with disability and their carers to be involved fully in community life.

Objective and Purpose of the Australia Day Awards AG

To consider actions and matters that support Council’s Community Strategic Plan (CSP) goals in relation to the coordination of the Australia Day Ceremony and Awards
To enable Council to engage with its community in relation to the coordination of the Australia Day Ceremony and Awards

Key focus areas include:

Determining the winners of the Australia Day Awards
Acting as ambassadors for Australia Day throughout the year and actively encouraging individuals and community groups to nominate for awards
Providing input into the planning, review and evaluation of the Australia Day celebration and award ceremony + more!

To consider actions and matters that support Council’s Community Strategic Plan (CSP) goals in relation to Recovery and Resilience
To enable Council to engage with its community in relation to Recovery and Resilience.

Key focus areas include:

Provide regular updates to Wollondilly Shire Council and the Local Emergency Management Committee (LEMC)
Provide a platform for communication and collaboration between recovery and resilience stakeholders
Contribute to the development and completion of strategies contained within the Wollondilly Long Term Recovery & Resilience Plan
