Healthy Wilton – connected, attractive, inclusive and resilient
The draft Wilton Health and Wellbeing Strategy is on public exhibition and we invite your feedback.
In advance of any growth in Wilton New Town, Wollondilly Shire Council has prepared a Health and Wellbeing Strategy to ensure Wilton will be a thriving community where every person has the opportunity to live well.
The draft strategy includes four focus areas for action:
- social infrastructure
- transport and connectivity
- green infrastructure
It also identifies three game-changers:
- on-time infrastructure
- connected and walkable places
- housing for life
The documents will be on public exhibition from 12 May to 9 June 2020 and can be viewed at:
- Wollondilly Shire Council’s website www.wollondilly.nsw.gov.au
- Your Say Wollondilly at www.yoursay.wollondilly.nsw.gov.au
Note: This draft Strategy aligns with and supports the Wollondilly Local Strategic Planning Statement, and will contribute to the delivery of Planning Priority 4 (Creating vibrant, healthy and sustainable communities in our new town Wilton) and Planning Priority 6 (Embedding health and wellbeing considerations into land use planning for healthy places).
