On 19 November 2018 the NSW State Government released Greater Macarthur 2040: An interim plan for the Greater Macarthur Growth Area and the Proposed Special Infrastructure Contributions for Greater Macarthur.
What is it?
Greater Macarthur 2040 is an interim land use and infrastructure implementation plan which sets a vision for the growth area. It sets out a 20-year vision for urban renewal along the rail corridor from Glenfield to Macarthur and land release areas from Menangle Park to Appin.
Land within Wollondilly is identified in two growth area precincts. These are ‘North Appin’ and ‘Appin’. These two precincts are indicated to deliver around 20,000 new homes.
