Feeding Wildlife
Council does not encourage feeding wildlife as there are a number of unwanted consequences to this. If you do choose to feed wildlife the Department of Planning, Industry and Environment have developed a fact sheet outlining what can and cannot be fed to certain animals. For details please read the Helping Wildlife in Emergencies fact sheet.
Council does encourage the placement of clean fresh water out and is currently working on some water stations throughout the shire in fire and drought affected areas. The Department of Planning, Industry and Environment has developed a fact sheet with how to best provide water to wildlife including examples of watering stations. For details please read the Wildlife Drinking Stations fact sheet.
