Please come and join us for our first ever Appin Koala Picnic day. The objective of the day is to highlight the the vulnerability of  koalas and their habitat  in the Greater Macarthur and Southern Highlands area.  The picnic day hopes to engage the broader community which will in turn, allow the message to be spread further afield.

The picnic day has been set up as a follow up to a Koala Summit being held in Appin on Tuesday 11th September, Wollondilly Council are hosting this event with the vision of raising the profile of our Koalas.

You have the opportunity to set up a stall or display to raise awareness for your organisation, recruit new members or just have a chat & answer questions that  the public may have.

The children will be having fun at the picnic, with Allen the life size Koala aptly named after Allens Creek in Wilton & Damion the environmentalist guru from Council will be taking the kids on a short tour of the area at the back of the oval, which is known Koala habitat, we may just be lucky on the day.  Games & activities will be held.

The Appin Village Fair will be held in conjunction with the Appin Wheels Festival run by the Appin P&C.  The wheels festival was a huge success last year and this year is set to be even bigger. As part of the Fair, Appin Chamber of Commerce in conjunction with local businesses will have the opportunity to promote their product and others will have the opportunity to showcase homegrown produce and other creations. All this comes together to highlight what our great little Village has to offer.

Wollondilly Council are on board to help us with this great day.
