Wollondilly Shire Council will host the #SaveOurKoalas Summit at the Appin Community Hall on 11 September, bringing together leading experts and koala advocates to discuss the threats to our koala population.
Council has successfully collected over 13,000 signatures in a petition to protect koala habitat corridors between Wilton and the Greater Macarthur region.
The petition was recently tabled at NSW State Parliament and the Summit is the next step in working together to ensure the future protection of this unique Australian icon across the region.
Speakers and panel experts at the #SaveOurKoalas Summit will include the Total Environment Centre, the Office of Environment & Heritage, World Wildlife Fund, Wollondilly Shire Council and the National Parks Association.
