Following on from Mental Health Month in October, the Wollondilly Youth Advisory Committee is hosting a Mental Health summit to raise awareness of the issues facing local young people.
The free event, called ‘To Sum It Up' will be held on Wednesday 27 November from 9am to 2pm at Bargo Community Hall.
Groups from local high schools including Picton High and Wollondilly Anglican College will be attending on the day and all young people aged 12 to 24 who live in Wollondilly are welcome to be involved.
Food for the summit has been provided by Bendigo Bank and the program is also being supported by local services such as PCYC and Reframe.
The day will involve activities such as boxing and drumming as well as discussion groups and a chill-out space.
Young people who are interested in attending can register by calling Community Projects at Council on 4677 9613 or emailing email@example.com
