5 Ways to Wellbeing Information Session - ‘Connect- positive relationships’

Posted on: 21.09.2017

The next session in the 5 Ways to Wellbeing program will be held on 27 September with the theme of ‘Connect – Positive Relationships’. The ‘Connect – Positive Relationships’ session will be facilitated by Uniting Reconnect and will include:

  • Fun activities and discussions
  • Learn new skills and gain awareness about how we communicate
  • What good relationships look like at home and with friends
  • Finding out about supports available

General Manager and Chair of the Health Alliance, Luke Johnson said “These sessions are supported by the Wollondilly Health Alliance and highlight the importance of working collaboratively to improve the health and wellbeing of our community.

Being able to talk openly and honestly with our families is something that is hard to achieve. Communication skills are vital for building and maintaining relationships with friends and family, and for success in school and employment.”

Council has held a number of Wellbeing information sessions other the past few months and this is the fourth session in this project.  Each session is aimed at increasing awareness about wellbeing in the community and to give young people, and their parents, the skills to help them identify issues and seek support.
