5 Ways to Wellbeing – Take Notice

Posted on: 06.10.2017

October is Mental Health Month and there are a number of events around the Wollondilly to promote the importance of early intervention for positive mental health and wellbeing in the community. In today’s society, we have many demands on our attention and time, so it is more important than ever to make sure we connect with our family and friends. Feeling connected, valued and loved by others gives us a sense of security, support, purpose and happiness.

Council’s information session on mental health – ‘Take Notice’, is aimed at parents and young people in the community. The session will include input from: Open Door Mental Health, You in Mind (new service available in Wollondilly), Upfront Community Links and Shining Stars Foundation. The session will include fun activities, information about local services and discussions about mental health. Light supper will be provided and a lucky door prize.

Date: Wednesday 25 October

Venue: Youth Hub, Tahmoor Community Centre, 6 Harper Close, Tahmoor

Time: 6.30-8.30pm
