Wollondilly Shire Council are calling for Expressions of Interest from a range of stall holders for the 2017 illuminARTe Wollondilly Festival, to be held in Picton on Saturday 29th April 2017. IlluminARTe Wollondilly attracts more than 25,000 visitors seeking the ultimate arts and cultural experience.
Visitors peruse market stalls keen to purchase quality items while enjoying spectacular performing arts, digital projections, gourmet food and music. Stall sites provide a unique opportunity for artisans, providores and suppliers to promote and sell their hand made products to an audience who are looking for unusual and quirky pieces.
Council’s Events Officer Courtney Turner said “We are looking forward to seeing a variety of products this year ranging from locally made arts and craft, designer fashion and accessories, packaged gourmet foods and wine and other unusual, innovative and unique pieces”.
The main criteria for stallholders includes:
- Products should be produced locally and handmade where possible
- High quality and functional items
- Not mass produced and readily available in retail shops
Preference will be given to stall holders from the Wollondilly and greater Macarthur region.
Take-away food vendors considered suitable are those with a strong focus on traditional street food freshly prepared on site, particularly those with international influence.
The stall holder application form can be found on Council’s website in the Lifestyle section under illuminARTe. For more information on becoming a stall holder contact Council’s illuminARTe team on 4677 9656.
