Author Talk at the Library by Lauren Hokin

Wollondilly Library is inviting community members to attend a free talk by local historian and author Lauren Hokin.

As a tribute to Anzac Day, Lauren will relive stories of the heroic local servicemen and women who served in World War 1 from her book “Anzacs of Macarthur”.

She will also share tips in a workshop about how to research your own ancestors who fought in World War 1. Copies of her book will be also be available for sale and signing on the day.

Library Services Team Leader, Gail Dunn said, “As we start to think about Anzac Day, this is a great opportunity to learn more about the local people who served in World War 1 and their unique stories.”

“If you have an ancestor who fought in the war and you would like to know more about their experience, this could be a helpful workshop for you.”

The Author Talk will be held on Thursday 18 April 2019 from 10.30am to 12noon in The View Room, Wollondilly Library Picton.
