‘BorrowBox’ Library App coming to Wollondilly Library

Posted on: 22.03.2018

Wollondilly Library is embracing the digital revolution with the launch of a new app called BorrowBox.

BorrowBox is a user-friendly digital lending system which has been recognised as the number one library download platform in the world. It gives users access to the library at any time or any place through a smart phone, ipad or home computer.

Residents are invited to come along to the launch of BorrowBox and use Council’s free Wi-Fi to download the app with the assistance of the library staff at 10am on Thursday 12 April.

As part of the launch, there will be lucky prize give-aways as well as balloons for the kids.

By downloading the BorrowBox library app, users can borrow, download and enjoy e-books and e-audiobooks at their fingertips.

Library Services Team Leader Gail Dunn said, “If your busy lifestyle leaves little time to get to the library, you can use BorrowBox to access the latest range of e-books and e-audiobooks by bestselling authors wherever you go.”

“BorrowBox is a library that never closes!”

Mayor Judith Hannan said, “The digital revolution is changing the way libraries operate and I am pleased to see our library constantly evolving to meet the needs of the Wollondilly community.”

The BorrowBox launch is at Picton Library in Menangle Street at 10am on Thursday 12 April. For more information, please contact the library on 4677 8300.
