Calling all Green Thumbs to enter the Annual Wollondilly Garden Competition
Posted on: 30.08.2016
Spring is in the air and Wollondilly Shire Council has begun preparations for Wollondilly’s Annual Garden Competition. We are calling all Green Thumbs and inviting them to showcase their garden and tell us why they deserve the prize.
“With so many beautiful gardens in the Shire, this competition is one that is close to the heart of many. Every year we see all types of gardens, but what we see the most is gardeners with a love of nature and a knack for creativity,” says Craig Davies, a judge of the Wollondilly Garden Competition
Entries open today, Monday 29 August and will close Thursday 22 September. There are 13 categories ranging from Grand Champion, Best Edible Garden, Most Sustainable Garden to Commercial/Industrial Garden and School Gardens. Gardens will be judged between 27 and 30 September, with schools judged on 23 September.
Entry forms can be found online at http://www.wollondilly.nsw.gov.au/home/events/wollondillys-2016-garden-competition or contact Council’s Events Officer on P: 4677 9505 or E: firstname.lastname@example.org.
