This September, Wollondilly Shire Council will host a free event showcasing a variety of community groups and services that support our area.
The “Connecting Wollondilly Expo” will be held at the Bargo Community Hall, 96 Radnor Rd, Bargo on Tuesday 18 September from 2pm-6pm. The event is a chance for the whole community to see the wealth of local services, which include training, education and legal services, disability, seniors, child, youth and family services, as well as health and wellbeing services.
It will feature a free skate clinic, which will run from 3pm-6pm, along with giveaways and a free sausage sizzle.
Council’s Executive Director, Ally Dench said, “We have over 40 community service providers supporting the Wollondilly, many of them newly funded through the Primary Health Network.” “There are a great range of free or low cost services available to help people who require assistance, and we hope this event helps people connect in with them,” she said.
Council is partnering with Uniting, Community Links Wellbeing and Sector Connect for this inaugural event to arm community members with knowledge of who and what is available to help them.
