Council to host workshops for Small Business Month

Posted on: 17.09.2018

October is Small Business Month, and in support of the NSW Government’s annual celebration of the small business sector Wollondilly Shire Council will be hosting two workshops aimed at small businesses, particularly those who are new or just starting up.

The first workshop is called “Business – Start-up - Incubate-Accelerate” and will feature a panel of entrepreneurs and industry professionals who will share their own experiences, followed by an open discussion led by the audience.

The second workshop, “Inspiring Innovation and Growth in the Food Industry” will inspire local producers and food manufacturers to engage in new ideas and opportunities for food diversification or increasing value to their produce.

Council’s Tourism Business Investment Manager, Kevin Abey said, “Wollondilly Shire Council is committed to supporting small business. Just recently, we joined with Service NSW and the Office of the NSW Small Business Commissioner to launch ‘Easy to do Business’ in Wollondilly.”
