Driving for over 65’s - Staying independent and safe on the road

Wollondilly Shire Council is hosting a free workshop offering advice and safety tips for people aged 65 or older who are driving, riding, walking or using a mobility scooter.
The workshop will be held on Monday 25 March 2019 from 10am to 12 noon at the Wollondilly Library, 42 Menangle Street Picton.
The session will be aimed at older drivers as well as anyone who is supporting a family member as they plan for the future.
The topics that will be discussed include:
- How vision impairment and dementia can affect our abilities as road users
- Developing safer driving habits
- Pedestrian safety
- Driver licensing at 75 and 85 years old
- Mobility scooters
- Top 10 most misunderstood road rules
