Food Wise in Wollondilly
Posted on: 09.08.2016
Wollondilly Shire Council will be hosting a FREE Food Wise Workshop. In NSW, households throw away up to $1000 worth of food each year. This workshop will provide the participants with ideas on how to reduce waste, save time and money and stop edible food going into landfill.
Where: Bargo Community Centre, 96 Radnor Road, Bargo
When: Tuesday 23 August 2016
Time: 5pm to 7pm
The workshops are specifically focused on remembering to use food you already have in the cupboard or leftover from another meal. Join The Food Coach, Judy Davie as she creates fantastic meals using leftovers. Learn the art of using what is in the cupboard to improvise with your cooking. Judy is passionate about reducing food waste and will give some very handy tips on how to cook healthy, delicious meals while reducing waste. There will also be plenty of free giveaways.
Children and babies welcome (A childrens space is available).
This project is supported by the Environmental Trust as part of the NSW EPA’s Waste Less, Recycle More initiative, funded from the waste levy.
