Information Session to be held at Warragamba Inclusive Play Space

Community members are invited to an open information session with Council staff and Councillors at Warragamba where they will be updated on the progress of the Inclusive Play Space project.
The information session, which will be held from 11am – 12.30pm on Saturday 6 July at Weir Road, Warragamba, will give attendees the opportunity to see what is happening on site and ask questions directly to those who are working on the project.
Acting Director Infrastructure & Environment, Mike Nelson said, “Due to ongoing concerns with the building of the Play Space, Council has been directly managing the construction since May.”
“The community has been looking forward to the completion of the project for some time, so we’d like to give people a chance to come and chat and get a feel for what the facility will look like when it is finished,” he said.
The play space has been designed according to the principles of inclusive play, along with feedback received from community engagement activities.
It will include a large climbing net, a wheelchair accessible carousel, a flying fox, swings, water play, musical items and much more.
The Inclusive Play Space is expected to be operational when the weather starts to warm up during Spring, with an official opening scheduled for late 2019.
Updates on the project can be found on Council’s website under the Warragamba Inclusive Play Space page.
