Maintenance work to occur on Douglas Park Drive
Posted on: 24.02.2017
Wollondilly Shire Council will conduct maintenance works at Douglas Park Drive, between Blades Bridge and the Nepean River Causeway during March – April 2017, weather permitting. The maintenance works are required to maintain the usability and condition of the road while Council work on a detailed design for the long term rehabilitation of this section of road.
Whilst drainage works and vegetation management works are completed, there will be some impacts to road users. Traffic control measures will be implemented to minimise any disruptions with road closures scheduled outside of peak traffic times. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
Director of Infrastructure and Environment, Michael Malone said, “The maintenance between Blades Bridge and the Nepean Causeway has to happen to maintain the integrity of the road while we work on a long term solution.
Council will install advisory signage to notify drivers of the changed driving conditions. To prevent further deterioration of the road and ensure public safety we ask that road users comply with the speed and load restrictions on Douglas Park Drive”
