New community program set to create a buzz in Buxton

Posted on: 23.01.2019

Wollondilly Council in partnership with the Wollondilly Health Alliance is launching a new initiative for the Buxton community on 12 February 2019.

The Buxton Buzz is a free event which will run fortnightly from 10am to 12pm at the Buxton School of Arts Hall.

All members of the community are invited to come along for a coffee and a chat, whatever their age.

Attendees will have the chance to learn about mental wellbeing and how they can improve their health. They will have the opportunity to learn new skills, find out what services and programs are available in the area and meet new people over a cup of tea or coffee.

Mayor Matthew Deeth said, “This is a great chance for community members to become more connected, build relationships and try something new.”

“It will be particularly helpful for Buxton residents who want to get out and attend a local event during the day but don’t want to travel too far away.”
