Wollondilly Shire Council has received a grant of $15,000 from the Office of Local Government for Round 2 of the Responsible Pet Ownership Grants program. A significant portion of this grant will be used to assist low income earners/aged pensioners with responsible pet ownership by subsidising fees for desexing, microchipping and lifetime registration of companion animals.
You are eligible for this program if you are on an income under $45,000, have a concession card and reside in Wollondilly. You can check your eligibility and obtain an application form by contacting one of the following organisations:
• Community Links Wollondilly - 4683 2776
• Warragamba Silverdale Neighbourhood Centre - 4774 1273
• Essential Personnel - 4681 0079
• Tharawal Local Aboriginal Land Council - 4681 0059
The successful applicants will be provided with a list of vets within Wollondilly that are participating in the program. I encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity while the funding is available.
