Posted on: 14.08.2018
As part of the Local Government Road Safety Program, Wollondilly Shire Council is holding a learner driver log book run event on Sunday 19 August 2018.
Manager Infrastructure, Strategy & Planning Mike Nelson said, “The aim is to improve young drivers’ safety and reinforce the Roads and Maritime Services Campaign, Towards Zero - Saving Lives on Country Roads.”
“This is a campaign that reminds us all that we all have a role to play in keeping ourselves and our community safe on our roads,” he said.
This log book run event gives learner drivers and their supervisors an opportunity to take part in a planned drive on local rural roads within Wollondilly.
The route provides driving experience on an unsealed road, narrow bridges and the freeway and can be undertaken in all weather conditions. The morning commences at 9.30am and finishes at 1pm, with light refreshments provided.
Bookings are essential. Please phone 4677 9588 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to ensure your place.
