Upcoming Events @ Picton Library

Posted on: 22.08.2018

The Picton Library has some great events planned for Spring. If you enjoy making craft, or are interested in learning about spirituality and self-help, you may like to take part in these activities.

Furoshiki Fabric Gift Wrapping with Yoshie Kumagai

This workshop teaches Furoshiki, the traditional Japanese art of gift wrapping using fabric. Wrapping your presents with bandanas, scarves or spare fabric can make them look unique and interesting, and is a great way to avoid the one-off use of paper.

Date:                            Friday 21 September 2018

Time:                            11am – 1pm

Location:                     The View Room, Picton Library

Cost:                            $15 per person

Fabric and light refreshments will be provided. Attendees are asked to bring along items for wrapping, for example a wine bottle, a small box case or something spherical like an orange.

An Evening with Kylie Savidge – Spirituality & Self-help

Kylie will be talking about her spiritual growth and development and the books in the library that have supported her spiritual journey. Bring along an open mind, together with any questions you would like to discuss with Kylie after her presentation.

Date:                            Thursday 20 September 2018

Time:                            4.30pm – 5.30pm

Location:                      The View Room, Picton Library

Cost:                             FREE

Bookings are essential for both events. Please contact Picton Library to book your space on 4677 8300.
