Warragamba Inclusive Play Space – Feedback Wanted!

Posted on: 17.11.2017

Wollondilly Shire Council has been working with the Touched by Olivia Foundation and the local community to deliver an inclusive play space in Warragamba.

Why? Since the Kurung Muru accessible playground at Warragamba Dam was dismantled in 1998, the community has been advocating for an inclusive play space in Warragamba.

What is an inclusive play space? An inclusive play space is an area that includes a variety of equipment for active, passive, imaginative and social play that everyone can enjoy.

Where? Warragamba Civic Park between Fourteenth Street and Weir Road.

When? We are working towards the inclusive play space being completed by November 2018

We want your feedback!

We have already spoken to many of you about what you would like the inclusive play space to look like. This has helped us to develop a draft design but we want to make sure we have got it right.

To learn more about the design and give us your feedback head to www.engage.wollondilly.nsw.gov.au  or visit us at one of the following locations to tell us what you think:

Carols in the Park at Warragamba Civic Park on 25 November from 4pm

• Stars in the Garden at Picton Botanic Gardens on 1 December from 5pm

Comments on the draft design close 5 December 2017.
