Wollondilly Christmas Lights Competition Winners for 2017

The winners of the 2017 Wollondilly Christmas Lights Competition were announced by Wollondilly Shire Council at the annual Christmas Lights Dinner on Thursday 14 December.

Mayor Judith Hannan said, “The Christmas Lights competition is a highlight in the Wollondilly calendar, with many residents driving around with their families to admire the beautiful displays across the Shire.”

“Christmas lights are a fun way to celebrate the Christmas season and there are some creative and inspiring entries on show this year.”

This year there were 27 entries from seven suburbs; Appin, Bargo, Picton, Wilton, Tahmoor, Silverdale and Warragamba, with a couple of entrants taking part consistently for 10 years.

The four judges for the competition were State Member for Wollondilly Jai Rowell, previous Grand Champion Les Harvey, Councillor Matthew Deeth and Councillor Michael Banasik.
