Posted on: 10.08.2016

A pop up Visitor Information Centre will operate temporarily from Wollondilly Shire Council’s Administration Building at 62-64 Menangle Street Picton while its permanent home in the Old Picton Post Office building is restored following the June storm event.

Mayor Cr Simon Landow encourages both visitors and residents to pop in to pick up Wollondilly’s Discovery Guide, maps, brochures and information about the local area or just to say hello.

“The visitor economy is very important to Wollondilly and we have lots of attractions including National Parks, museums, shopping, food, wine and places to stay that are all within an easy drive from Sydney, Illawarra, Southern Highlands and the Macarthur Regions” he said

The pop up centre will be manned by the dedicated tourism team who will share their local knowledge and expertise to provide up to date information to all who visit the centre.

The Wollondilly Visitor Information Centre is open Monday to Friday from 8am till 4pm and staff can be contacted on 4677 8313 or tourism@wollondilly.nsw.gov.au  during these hours.

For information outside these hours please visit Wollondilly Tourism’s website www.wollondillytourism.com.au
