Workshops for IlluminARTe

Wollondilly Shire Council in partnership Regional Arts NSW and Southern Tablelands ARTS, will be holding the IlluminARTe Wollondilly Festival on 7 May and there are a number of workshops that you can be involved in to be a part of this unique event. There will be Adult Lantern Master Classes on 19 and 20 March and Kids Lantern Workshops on 5 and 6 March.

 Adult Lantern Master Class

Create your own beautiful lantern using wire and cellophane to make your own design, warmly lit by tea lights. With your finished lantern you can be a part of the Lantern Parade in IlluminARTe Wollondilly

Date:                     Saturday 19 March OR Sunday 20 March

Time:                     9.30am to 3.30pm

Location:              Wollondilly Nursery, Wonga Road, Picton

Cost:                      $45 per participant per class

 The adult master class provides participants with the opportunity to broaden their skills and creativity by designing and constructing their own lantern under the guidance of artist Tracy Luff.

Kids Lantern Workshop (ages 5+)

Kids can create their own unique lantern with artist Tracy Luff.  With your finished lantern you can be a part of the Lantern Parade in IlluminARTe Wollondilly

Date:                   Saturday 5 March for children with disabilities (must be accompanied by a parent or carer) or Sunday 6 March

Time:                   9.30am to 1.30pm

Location:            Wollondilly Nursery, Wonga Road, Picton

Cost:                   $15 per child per workshop (parents/carers free)

The kids’ lantern workshop will allows kids to learn construction techniques using wire and cellophane whilst also develop gross motor skills and learn about creative practice.

BYO lunch and working gloves (morning tea and materials provided).
