Mayors Charity Night 2019 at the Trots proudly supporting Kids of Macarthur
On Saturday 20 July, Wollondilly Council hosted its very successful Mayor’s Charity Race Night, raising over $30,000 for the Kids of Macarthur Health Foundation.
180 people attended the event at Club Menangle to enjoy the great food, entertainment and racing, with Josh Webster from C91.3 acting as Master of Ceremonies.
Wollondilly Mayor Matthew Deeth said, “This event has well and truly exceeded our expectations. It was a very enjoyable and worthwhile night.”
“It is fantastic that all the money raised is going to the children in our region who need it most.”
“I’d like to thank everyone who came along and supported this important cause, and in particular I’d like to thank our feature race partner Macarthur FC who, with all our other sponsors, helped make the event such a huge success.”
“I would also like to thank State Member Nathaniel Smith, Wingecarribee Mayor Duncan Gair and Councillor Peter Nelson, Wollondilly Deputy Mayor Matt Gould and Councillor Michael Banasik for taking part.”
Launched in the year 2000, the Kids of Macarthur Health Foundation aims to purchase the most up-to-date paediatric medical equipment available to enhance the level of health care offered for young people locally.
The Foundation helps to fund equipment for the paediatric units at Campbelltown and Camden hospitals, including the Children’s Ward, Paediatric Ambulatory Care, Paediatric Emergency, Special Care Nursery, Child and Adolescent Mental Health, Maternity, Delivery and Post Natal Units, as well as supporting many children’s community health programs.
