The Wollondilly Youth Advisory Committee (YAC) are excited to announce they have organised the ‘Branch Out’ Youth Week Festival 2018 and we are inviting every young person in the Shire to come along and get involved!
When: Saturday 21 April
Where: Picton Botanic Gardens
The festival is jam packed with activities including
- a splash of colour fun run
- a music festival
- live art mural
- a photography comp display
- food and information stalls
So there’s something for everyone!
A splash of colour run
Cost of the run is $15 per person with two age categories 8-12years and 12+. Online registrations will open in late February. Register early to receive a t shirt, extra colour packet and voucher for a sausage sandwich and drink after the race. All other aspects of the festival are free of charge.
Five local bands from the Wollondilly and Macarthur region will perform sets from 12noon. Keep an eye on our Facebook page for updates on the bands performing.
Live Art Mural
Help make you mark in the Botanic Gardens by getting involved in the live art mural. A local artist will be facilitating the painting of a number of murals throughout the day.
If you are feeling creative then why not take part in our photography competition. The comp will run from 01 March to 30 March and guidelines will be available soon. The winners of each theme will receive a $50 voucher. All entries will be displayed at the festival. So get snapping!
More information to follow in the coming weeks so check back regularly for updates!
