Now Open - Wollondilly Young Carers Grant
The Wollondilly Young Carers Grant aims to reduce barriers to education and increase social inclusion for young carers in Wollondilly aged 12-18. One off grants of up to $1000 are available to young people living in Wollondilly for educational expenses, technology or social activities that help address the aims of the grant. Expenses can include but are not limited to individual educational tuition, Ipads, laptops, gym membership, dance classes and text books.

Community organisations across the Shire are now able to benefit from an increased range of financial assistance through Wollondilly Shire Council, following the adoption of the revised Financial Assistance Framework.
After a review of how its financial assistance is provided to our community, Council has tailored four (4) new funding programs within the Framework to recognise community needs and priorities. These needs were expressed through community consultation in the development of Council’s Community Strategic Plan 2033.
Community organisations are able to apply for support from Council for a range of community events, programs, activities and awards, small items of equipment and for minor works to local community facilities.
For the first time individuals will be able to seek financial assistance through the Donations Program to support them in pursuit of their sporting, culture or academic involvement at State or National level.
Before considering an application please read the information provided to ensure you are:
- Eligible to apply under a particular program
- Able to submit an application within the timeframe set,
- Able to meet the criteria for that funding program, and
- Show a linkage to Council’s Community Strategic Plan
